Message: I look at this site from time to time but only see a few people I remember, Many are from Brookside and a few from Calhoun. Its been over twenty years since I have been to Merrick and only a handfull of those I grew up with remain there. In talking with them I wonder why they have stayed as the cost of living is so high but then again it is HOME. In closing I think the site is wonderful and hope that many of the lost will find it and get some comfort from it.

Message: Hey, anyone remember Michael Maffuci? He lived on Lexington Avenue. He was my best friend before I moved to East Northport in 64. I have dreamt about Merrick ever since. I also remember Gary Askanas, Gary Adelman, Richard Worrel and the Purcel boys Francis and Richard. Yes, I knew Dennis too. Things I remember ? The opening of Bohacks, wi the two clowns Bo and Hack...sledding on the hill were Bablyon Turnpike is now, the firestation burning down, skating on the pond near Meadowbrook Road, fishing the piers at Jones Beach and of course Jones Beach it self.
