I Love, Love, Love, living down here in Florida. Mainly because we don't get snow!!!! I have been down here for 19 years. Live in Davie, just east of Fort Lauderdale. I only hope my son will have great memories of Davie as I do of Merrick.

I live in Ocala, in the center of the state. We are about 45 min. south of Gainesville. It's horse country here, very green and lush....lots of horse farms. We get 3 seasons here....it's great! It gets into the 20's at night, I love it when we get that cold blast.
My husband and I have been here 19 years, as much as I miss my family.......I LOVE OCALA! |

I also live here. I moved to Oralndo in 94 after living in Va. from 87 to 94. I made trhe mistake of moving to Silver Spring, MD for 3 years but I am back now. I love Florida. I mis Merrick sometimes but when I do get to go, there are some many reminders of why I love Florida now. _________________ Class of 86 |

Nice to see others enjoying the Florida climate. I have been in Fl for 20 plus years and of all things for someone from the \"city\" atmosphere of Merrick and Long Island, I own a large dairy farm near Gainesville and sell all the milk produced on the farm to Publix

I love Florida also, lived here for about 9 yrs then moved to the Northwest, then back to Florida, and surprisingly, I don't miss Merrick at all.

| I too live here in the sunshine state. My wife Mary and my two daughters love the climate, but some of the other things make you feel like this state is still in the \"good ole days\". Which isn't all bad. We've been here 9 years now,in Deltona, I do miss all the food that was available in N.Y. ,but I still won't move back there. Tommy Boo, class of '77:wink: |

| We have lived in Florida for over 30 years - 8 years in Pensacola, 4 years in Jacksonville and the last 19 here in Vero Beach. Everyday is another day in Paradise. Where else can you enjoy outdoor living, year round. We will never leave, despite an occasional hurricane. |

| I really don't see what is so great about Florida. Moved back and forth between L I and Fl for years but have been here steady since 98. It's flat and usually too hot. No seasons and hardly anyone speaks English anymore. My gf and I have a nice big piece of land on a lake in the Smokey Mountains and plan to move there in the near future. It's just like being in the mountains upstate New York. You can keep Florida!!! |
