Hi Bonnie,
How was it you ask?? In one word...UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE.. Very Happy
This past Friday (Oct 6th) at the Treehouse, on the eve of the 60's Decade Reunion at Verdi’s, was standing room only. The back room was filled to capacity with an over flow at the front bar. It was amazing to watch the early 60's grads and the later 60's grads talk up a storm as if they graduated from the same class. There were no age boundaries and it was really fun to watch. I will be posting pictures that were taken at the Treehouse and Verdi's next week on the 60’s Decade Reunion web site www.merokian.com and also on this web site.

As for Verdi's.... how can you not have a fantastic time at a party that had 350 attendees that partied from the time they arrived till midnight? Having the top DJ on LI helped but the Alumni made it happen. Us ole farts still got it...The dance floor was constantly packed with the party people that loved to dance and those that needed a quiet place to reunite, we had a room that had piped in elevator music. The food was fantastic and the booze flowed freely. If you wanted to have your picture taken with a small group, we had hired a photographer that printed out the pictures on the spot and gave each Alumnus a framed copy of the picture gratis. We also had the same photograph company take a group shot of each year (which was a task in itself), which could be purchased from the company.

Fifteen months ago, 13 of us got together and had a vision to have a reunion that encompassed a decade of graduates from Calhoun. Everyone on committee put in endless hours as a team. We not only had fun putting this shabang together, we all had a gratifying feeling of what we accomplished for the 1960's grads of Calhoun High School.

I see that you are planning a Reunion next year. If we can be of any assistance to your Reunion Committee, please don’t hesitate to ask….Don Ericksen 1966 and the Calhoun 60’s Decade Reunion Committee.

Don is right. The reunion was done very well and you could actually have a conversation without screaming at each other in the \"quiet\" room. Don and his committee did a great job!
